Sun's UV-LED block

In November 2007 our service center finished exhaustive testing on our UV-LED block. This technology is used for UV curing in our Sun Allegro range of printers. The results are stunning to say the least. Our UV-LED Block past testing with flying colors and surpassed our expectations on curing capability and longevity of life under all conditions. For example, the blocks were tested under operating and peak temperatures and under various radiated power. We also checked aspects of the electronics safety, the maximum lifetime of the block and the cooling system efficiency.

Under intensive exploitation of high tension current and extended impulse charge, the UV LED blocks demonstrated performance way beyond our expectations. After considering the results we have decided to increase the UV-LED block guarantee from 1 year to 5 years.
